ABOUT SCOTT CHRISTOPHER ENDSLEY

Scott Christopher Endsley was born in 1958 in Stockton, California, and raised in the small rural town of Lompoc in Santa Barbara County. Growing up in the 1960s, he spent much of his childhood surrounded by backyard farm animals, a reflection of his father's dream of bringing a little country life into town.

In 1971, the Endsley family relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma, where Scott continues to reside. Inspired by the Beatles during the height of Beatlemania, he taught himself to play guitar and, at the age of fifteen, began writing songs after discovering the work of Bob Dylan. Over the years, he has written more than 200 songs and has since turned his creative focus to poetry, fiction, and short stories.

At fifty-seven, Scott graduated from Ashford University with degrees in History and English Literature, sharpening the writing skills that had been a lifelong passion. He often jokes, "College was the best forty years of my life!"

After retiring from AT&T, Scott embraced writing as a full-time pursuit. He lives with his wife, Lynda—his high school sweetheart and greatest encourager. "She knows me better than I know myself," he says, crediting her unwavering support for helping him pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an author.

Together they have four children and ten grandchildren. Scott likes to add, "We've decided we're through having grandchildren."

Scott has completed his first novel and continues to write poetry and fiction with the hope of leaving behind something meaningful. As he puts it, "I don't know if I'm writing for the benefit of my posterity or just for my posterior—but I enjoy every minute of it."
